The epitome of nostalgia from my early teens. FFO industrial metal, with excellent use of samples. Though there are plenty, they don't overwhelm the music, as I've seen all too often by more inexperienced artists. The heavy guitar is so infectious & sticks with you. 1st heard in '95, still sounds fresh every listen, 28 yrs young!

This is a great example of the fun storytelling possible through lyricism; it's one big effort to immerse you in a world of neon-lit streets, rain-drenched skyscrapers climbing into darkness, and the conflicts of the people (and machines) living beneath them. Drawing heavily on '80s synthwave without slavishly adhering to its conventions, Dreams of Neo-Tokyo is like a solid little classic sci-fi novella, set to the sound of the era that first married cosmic conflict to street-level grit.
