Chris Swain I have the original pressing of this album too. However as with the original Circle of Dust albums, the sound quality is severely lacking. Just hearing She:Backslide and Caught Sick remastered was an amazing experience. I feel like I am finally hearing what Dan really intended so long ago! I can't wait to hear the new material since I've been waiting for new lvl since Denial! Favorite track: Caught Sick.

leongrey69 A lot of the songs speak to me and the lyrics feel relatable to things I've gone through in my life. I also just enjoy the raw sound of the album and the grittiness of Dan's (LVL) voice. Favorite track: She: Pay To Play.

about

Devil’s Advocate is the debut album from artist/producer lvl. Originally released in 1999, the album’s 13 tracks have been remastered and upgraded with 7 rare/unreleased bonus tracks.

Devil’s Advocate ranges from the crunchy guitar riffs of "She: Backslide," "Best Way Out" and "Devil’s Advocate" to the pulsing electronic beats & synths of "Caught Sick," "Downplay" and "Hero Zero." The album’s instrumental bonus tracks showcase a softer side of lvl, driven by experimental and sometimes melancholy vibes. The final bonus track reunites brothers Klayton (Celldweller, Circle of Dust, Scandroid) and Dan (lvl), as their musical projects collide in the Circle of Dust remix of "Backslide."
